We recorded this album over this past winter while I (marty) was cooking at Nathans Deli. I was riding my bike from 173 EGB (pretty much belle isle) to Nathans Deli for a morning shift, then to North End Studios where i would record all night till i had to ride back home to do it the again the next day. (around 14 miles a day) That shit was exhausting. But i told my self I was getting stronger in the process and that helped me continue. 3/4 into the album being complete, I no called no showed Nathans Deli, stopped paying my phone bill, and moved out of Northend because I was totally broke. I set up shop in my bedroom, finished up the vocals, and began mixing and mastering. A little time went on while I was trying to get things in my life organized and started painting and doing drywall for this one dude. I was feeling good. I was was smoking less, paying my debts, and getting ready to upload these songs.
But then, Garageband started losing files in the songs. After a week, all the songs were 90% gone. Luckily, I made rough mixes of all the songs for our new drummer. The songs on here are souped up versions of those rough mixes. The originals are lost in my space Cadette computer for ever.
I named this album "How To Be."
It is a gift for everyone who suffers from anxiety, and depression
